Happy New Year all!

I hope your past year was wonderful and that 2012 will exceed your expectations. I haven’t had a chance for a wordy post in quite some time; I was very busy helping make some Christmas wishes come true :) I had a blast and learned a lot.

1. Its really easy to lost something that is 1-inch or so in size.

2. Its not always worth it to look for said 1-inch item for an hour- it may be better to remake it.

3. Don’t lose things in the first place!

4. People are wonderful!

I learned a lot more, but these things are on my mind right now as I type.

Here you can see a few new creations I have worked on. I missed having the time to just make something to see how it goes; these pieces reflect the slower time right after Christmas. Guess what? I need to get ready for Valentine’s day next! Yay!

Its a ring thing…

A fun pile of rings!
I made these rings last night for (late) Christmas gifts for all the gals  I work with at beadniks. I received a lovely cold for Christmas so I didn’t get it in gear until now. I hope the girls like them!
I played with some new supplies I bought tonight; my  inaugural run with PMC was a blast! I am looking at the olive oil stains on my shirtsleeves and will remember to roll up my sleeves next time. Darlene Jones, the beadniks manager and I, plowed into a 18 gram package of PMC+. It is amazing how far it goes, but whew, that was pricey! Hoping to get things fired and sanded soon!
I hope everyone had a delightful Christmas full of joy and cheer! Here’s to a great New Year :)

Oh yeah, I have a blog!

My bad; I haven’t been here lately. It seems that I go in spurts, but that is about how I do everything. I have been teaching steadily at www.beadniks.com and that is great! I was worried a bit in June, but now it is getting pretty regular. I am also working on some project classes to do; more of an art piece. I will let you know when I get it all worked-out!

The Shame!

Wow, here I am again, in awe of how infrequently I post! One thing that makes it seem like I “get er done” is that I am Tweeting and Facebooking and that stuff goes here- still, I know that all of my three followers want to know what is going on! (At least she has a sense of humor, they say!)

Been busy with teaching at Beadniks, though not as much as I would like. None of the February classes got put on the internet until last week, so that explains the lull. I was thinking I needed to change deodorant brands or something!

I have also been submitting work to beading publications. I have “published designer” envy- the other instructors at Beadniks are quite well-known and are published quite frequently. It is a nice challenge for me, and I am learning a lot!

Here are some rings that I made while teaching my Ring Rage class- I love all the different ways you can make a ring with just some stones, crystals, whatever, and some wire. Fun! Come join me!
