Adult-sized!
Here is the cuff I made to replace the baby one. It was fun to make and fits just great! I still just have two things listed in my new store, but may attempt to just add one thing a day. Otherwise, it just becomes overwhelming!
Easter was nice as always. I am amazed at how the year flew past. I am so blessed with many things. Easter is a great time to reflect on God’s generosity with me.
Have you ever agreed to a commision that was a total mistake? This was a great learning experience for me; don’t agree to anything without really looking closely first! A friend from Church, who I love dearly, asked me to put different clasps on a convertible bracelet/necklace that her husband gave her. I said sure, no biggie. Was I ever wrong! I have never been so anxious in my life! (Perhaps I exaggerate a bit, but Whoa!) It was soooo difficult! The necklace was a mass-produced number that was a b**ch to work on. I got it done, but there was a lot of praying and sweating going on. My prayers were answered and, I think, it worked. Lesson learned!
Countdown to school- 3 days! Rich and the kids all go back on Tuesday. I shouldn’t be so happy, but I am a selfish woman and have missed the quiet. Life is less complicated in the summer, but I haven’t had a routine since Memorial Day!
My Zibbet shop will be rolling by the end of the week, God-willing!

My bad…
I haven’t been very good about blogging this week. I have fortunately been quite busy. I worked in the office one day, got a fairly big commision, ran to the post office umpteen times this week, etc. etc. This is on top of still recovering from the flu I had last week. I am still pretty sluggish, but getting better.
Hubby and I went to another baseball game today-Go Rockies! It was fun to do something on a whim like that…it is hard for him to be spontaneous. I am glad we went, although I am pretty beat.
I am closing the shop except for supplies on the 31st. It seems that I have cleared out what I can for the most part. I have had a lot of fun giving great deals, and have gotten to know some neat people as well!

So I totally jacked up my settings on here and lost my twitter feed and my Etsy mini listing. I am not in the mood to figure out the html right now and will work on it tomorrow.

I am almost ready to take the plunge with a website. I feel so wise after the first website debacle. I want to use the domain beadsoul.com and have to figure out what to do since this blog is that domain. Lucky for me, I have a 20-year-old tech boy in my house! I will keep you posted on the latest.
The pendant pictured is fun. It has a coffee-achiever guy on one side and the image you see on the other. It is one square inch and soldered with lead free silver solder.
I am making some custom pendants for a fellow Etsyian. I will let you know how they turn out soon.
Tomorrow is haircut/color for a friend and hopefully beginning the soldering project. I have some transcribing to do, so we shall see…
Closing Shop:
I have decided to close down the Etsy shop and try other avenues for promoting my jewelry. I have been pondering this for a while now and it really hit home when I was away for the weekend. It is just too crowded for jewelry sellers there…I saw a post in the forums today that stated there are around 1 million listings for jewelry on Etsy! 1 million! That made me feel a little better about the low sales. My views were good some days, lousy on others. Thankfully, I have had sales outside of Etsy or I would be soooo depressed!
For the present time, I am selling my shop out at a HUGE discount. Why? Why not? I just love making people happy. So take advantage of my present good nature and see what you may like.
beadsoul will return in a better place or not- it is really not a worry. I love to create and if it happens, it happens.
It is amazing; when I gave up worrying about the shop, I got a call from a former coworker asking me to make a gift for a common friend. God is good!
Fun stuff: My trip to Wyoming was a nice, whirlwind tour. We spent 12 hours in the car to stay for about 20 hours. It was nice to see everyone and our youngest daughter is now a Godmother! She loved seeing her new cousin/Godchild, as well as her favorite cousin, Alyssa. I will try to post a pic or two whenever the kid gets them uploaded on the computer.
I do have to admit that I am the biggest city girl ever. It blows my mind to be in a small town with nothing to do, no bead stores to shop, etc. It was very hard to not be on the computer for 2 whole days either. I suppose I could have asked my sister to get online, but I was there to see them, not to shop Etsy, check my email, or blog, etc. Spoiled rotten is what I am!!!!
I have had the most fun in the Etsy forums! I discovered a great group there who does a thing called Sneak Attack! It is a fun way to help unknown, newer shops with few or no sales. An announcement of what shops are going to be chosen is made shortly before SA time and people go and purchase items from the shop! In the message to seller the buyer puts sneak attack. I did one yesterday and bought a cute little magnet. I hope it made the seller, katydidproductions, very happy!
I have listed three items so far, to fuel my sneak attack addiction. The sale of these items will fund sneak attack purchases, helping other new shops. Just took some pictures of all the pendants I soldered this afternoon. After prepping for about an hour, I managed to solder 6 pendants! One was a wedding gift/keepsake for a couple from our Church who is getting married tomorrow. I had her sister email me a few pics and made a little keepsake charm for them to put in their new home. I love soldering, but it is kind of hot to do this time of year. The wedding gift got me back in the groove; that, and listening to MJ while I worked!
I had a great day off from all types of work today. After sleeping in until 8:30, I made my husband and kids a nice Father’s day breakfast. We then got ready to go to the ballpark; I bought tickets to see the Colorado Rockies play the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was a fun game, Rocks 5 to 4. I will have lasting memories of the game due to my raging sunburn. People don’t believe me when I say I need SPF 2000! We wrapped up the day with a nice grilled chicken dinner and just hanging out. Back to the grind tomorrow; I have medical reports to type, pictures to take, hair to cut, etc. One good thing is that hubby is now on summer vacation. His being around is kind of a vacation for me as well! Here is a picture I retook of my necklace, Tigress, that is listed in my Etsy shop. What do you think? Is this picture better? Have a good nite!

It is made with clear quartz, green aventurine, peridot swarovski crystals, and silver disc beads; the toggle is sterling silver too. I hope she likes it and that you do too!

Hello all; I hope you had a great weekend! I am sorry to say that I did not get much time to do my soldering this weekend. I did do two pendants and a bookmark, but I was really hoping to go on a “soldering spree”. Well, another day perhaps? Here is that bookmark that I mentioned a while back; I made it for my husband for his birthday. He uses it all the time, so I guess its a hit!

Here is the necklace I was talking about in yesterday’s post. I like the pink; it makes me feel that spring could appear at any moment. We have had spring-like weather all week, maybe that’s what inspired me.

Hello everyone! As you can see, I posted items to my shop like crazy yesterday; hence no blog entry yesterday. Today I finished up a cute necklace made from jade dyed a pretty pink. It has fuschia Swarovski crystals, tiny seed beeds and the really nice fuschia jade. I took pictures really fast, but they didn’t turn out well. I will try again to do it right later so I can show you! In the meantime, I wanted to show you this bracelet I made last weekend-its super blingy!
