Hurry up and wait!

Okay, now the beadstar voting is done; now I get to wait and see if I made it into the top 5. If so, I will be a beadstar! (Also, I will be in the ICU due to a heart-attack!) Anywho, you can still look at all of the lovely entries that made the finals at http://www.beadstar.com Don’t forget to ogle, #7 in the seed bead category, made by yours truly!

Yesterday was dystonia awareness day and I didn’t even know it! I tweeted about my jacked-up left hand and arm and received a flood of tweets from all of my dystonia contacts to tweet about awareness day. Leave it to me to be clueless! I did retweet a few interesting facts and how I survived a challenging dystonic day, just the same.

Peace to you all!

Bleary-eyed blogger!

Here I am at 1:00 am, wondering what the heck am I doing? Today was a seriously unproductive day. This is a woman who feels such guilt when her day is like that; why? Dunno, but it is a really lame way to be. If the kids and spouse can be on vacation, why can’t I? I guess this blog is my own personal therapy couch!

Going to bed now!

I had a great day off from all types of work today. After sleeping in until 8:30, I made my husband and kids a nice Father’s day breakfast. We then got ready to go to the ballpark; I bought tickets to see the Colorado Rockies play the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was a fun game, Rocks 5 to 4.

I will have lasting memories of the game due to my raging sunburn. People don’t believe me when I say I need SPF 2000!

We wrapped up the day with a nice grilled chicken dinner and just hanging out. Back to the grind tomorrow; I have medical reports to type, pictures to take, hair to cut, etc. One good thing is that hubby is now on summer vacation. His being around is kind of a vacation for me as well!

Here is a picture I retook of my necklace, Tigress, that is listed in my Etsy shop. What do you think? Is this picture better?

Have a good nite!

Hi everyone! Here is a quick post before we run up to the mountains for the weekend. I made these earrings this morning to go with the agate necklace I posted last night on my etsy shop. I will try to post them Monday and get some more Valentine’s day stuff done. I got some adorable Czech glass hearts to play with!
Have a blessed weekend!

Hello everyone! I hope where you are is a bit warmer; brrr! To celebrate the cold, I created this icy-green bracelet yesterday for a friend’s birthday gift. It is made with clear quartz, green aventurine, peridot swarovski crystals, and silver disc beads; the toggle is sterling silver too. I hope she likes it and that you do too!

Here is the necklace I was talking about in yesterday’s post. I like the pink; it makes me feel that spring could appear at any moment. We have had spring-like weather all week, maybe that’s what inspired me.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone! As you can see, I posted items to my shop like crazy yesterday; hence no blog entry yesterday. Today I finished up a cute necklace made from  jade dyed a pretty pink. It has fuschia Swarovski crystals, tiny seed beeds and the really nice fuschia jade. I took pictures really fast, but they didn’t turn out well. I will try again to do it right later so I can show you! In the meantime, I wanted to show you this bracelet I made last weekend-its super blingy!

This is a more detailed picture of a favorite pair of earrings I have listed on etsy.  Please click on the photo to see the listing.  I have been playing with the lightbox and having fun with it.  I would rather just make stuff, but it needs to be photographed so you all can see it!

Happy Rich’s birthday to you! Here is another bracelet I created on Saturday, bracelet day! This one features quartz coin beads, 3mm silver beads, Swarovski crystals and gray freshwater pearls. It is shiny and dainty; my favorite! I hope to get a necklace made in the next few days. I love how the quartz is shot through with so many colors; for whatever reason, I highlighted the gray. This should be posted on Etsy soon. Just depends on whether the birthday boy is ready for cake and ice cream!

Here is one of the bracelets that I made on my spree Saturday. It has swarovski crystals in paparashda, silver daisy spacers and round beads and is really sparkly! I have made a necklace and earrings to match as well. Hopefully now that the photo box is here I can some more of these things listed in my shop and get the word out that beadsoul is up and running!

These earrings are in the top 5 favorites that I have made thus far. My cute Dad, who is a typical guy, even complemented them! My Mom bought a pair for her neighbor for Christmas; he said, “the sparkly round thingies and the swirls are really nice.” How cute is that? They are made with two-sided shells and silver wire that I worked into a swirl; fun!
Other beadsoul news: I am expecting a lightbox in the mail by next week. A neat person I met on etsy, Stacy of Uniquebanners, suggested it. She made my banner, look at my shop to check it out! Here is her shop link as well- http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5250138
I was so tickled with her work that I had her do a business card template for me as well. To make a long story short, the lightbox should help me with the quality of my photos. It has two lights and a tripod, and I imagine will really help with clarity and keep shadows, etc. from taking over the shots. Look for great photos coming soon!

I am trying to get a schedule going to work on the blog, website, and yes, to create new jewelry pieces. I spent way too much time on the website, www.inspireddesignsonline.com today. I am trying to scale it back and focus on using etsy to get my items out there, but didn’t want to shut down the site completely. Two months of work down the drain, I think not! These earrings are on the inspired site;  I haven’t had a chance to re-shoot the picture with the etsy size requirements just yet.
Beading wise, today I am finishing up a soldered art pendant of a very cagey victorian lady; she looks like she is up to something. I will post a picture tomorrow of the finished product!
